Program Description

TorahScheduler (operated by Clockwork WP, LLC) sends automated SMS reminder messages to Torah readers on behalf of their synagogue or congregation. Messages are sent only when a congregation administrator has entered a reader’s phone number and enabled SMS reminders for their congregation.

Messages typically include the reader’s upcoming Torah reading assignment, the service date, and a link to view their full portion details.

How You Are Enrolled

You receive SMS messages from TorahScheduler because a congregation administrator at your synagogue has entered your phone number into the TorahScheduler platform for the purpose of sending you reading reminders. By providing your phone number to your congregation for this purpose, you consent to receive these messages.

If you did not authorize your congregation to share your phone number for SMS reminders, please contact your congregation administrator or opt out as described below.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your congregation’s configuration. You may receive up to one SMS per scheduled Torah reading assignment, per reminder window configured by your congregation (e.g., 7, 14, or 28 days before a service, plus a Thursday reminder the week of the service). Most readers receive between 1 and 5 messages per service date.

Costs

TorahScheduler does not charge you to receive SMS messages. However, message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.

How to Opt Out

To stop receiving SMS messages from TorahScheduler, reply STOP to any message. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent to your number.

You can also contact your congregation administrator and ask them to remove your phone number from the TorahScheduler system.

SMS messaging is available on most U.S. mobile carriers. Carrier support may vary. TorahScheduler is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
